An Introduction to LMA

Since 1899, Lutheran Ministries Association (LMA) has served individuals and their families through spiritual guidance, assistance and advocacy. We provide hope to those who feel isolated, lonely and hopeless. We bring the Word of God to those who have never known His forgiveness and mercy. We strengthen families as they become crime-free. We provide spiritual guidance and temporary employment for ex-offenders as they transition back into society and become productive citizens. We pray with families coping with a sudden illness. We comfort the elderly as they mourn the death of a spouse and adjust to living in a nursing home.

Each year, through our ministries and services, LMA shares compassion, friendship and God’s love with 30,000 individuals and families who are seeking His strength and salvation.

In partnership with congregations, organizations, individuals and businesses, LMA is able to make a difference through Jail Ministries, Healthcare Ministries and Community Ministries.
